Newcastle upon Tyne gentleman’s hair salon Kamran’s Barbers today announced expansion plans with the purchase of premises with support from Barclays.
Kamran’s Barbers was established in 2006 with the launch of their first salon in Newcastle upon Tyne. Entrepreneur Kamran Zarei has rapidly expanded and now runs seven outlets and plans to expand to Leeds and Durham over the next year. The shops are traditional barbers which have a reputation of serving the best quality cuts from highly trained staff. Services also include beard trims, hair colouring, hot towel shaves and facials.
Kamran Zarie, Owner, Kamran’s Barbers said: “We’ve been trading for over seven years and this is the first opportunity we’ve had to purchase our premises so we’re delighted to be proud owners of our Shields Road outlet. With low interest rates it felt the time was right to invest for the future and I’m thrilled with the purchase which will secure the future of the business. Purchasing our premises has been a long held dream and it’s great that Barclays has supported me to achieve this.”
Kamran now has plans to expand his property portfolio and employs over 25 people across the Newcastle upon Tyne region.
Katharine Mather, Barclays Business Manager arranged the new funding package and said, ‘’It’s so rewarding working with customers to achieve their long held dreams and support them with not only finance, but guidance and specialist support. Kamran has developed the business in many areas and his signature red and black barber shops can be easily identified across the region.”
