Barclays has supported James Waste Management LLP with a £1.1m commercial mortgage to complete a new recycling station in Southend, Essex.
The recycling station based at Purdeys Industrial Estate, Southend, undertakes all forms of recycling work as well as landfill waste management and skip hire, providing an end to end process of all waste for their clients based in the Southend, Basildon and surrounding areas. The increase of work and extra contracts has helped to secure new local jobs at the site.
Ben Taylor, James Waste Management LLP, said: “The mortgage from Barclays has helped James Waste build one of the largest recycling centres within the UK. Since building the new facility, we now recycle more than 98% of our waste making a better environment for years to come. The funds have also enabled us to employ additional staff.”
Peter Laight, Relationship Director, Corporate Banking at Barclays, said: “This is a growing business with thirty years expertise in the waste management business. The funding of the new recycling station in Southend has helped to secure additional jobs in the local area.”
