UK's largest distributor of licenced music moves premises

Leicestershire based CID (Completely Independent Distribution Ltd) has moved to the new site on Brook Street, in Whetsone, having previously occupied premises in Blaby.

The Company, which was established in 2004 by Nic Wastell, distributes official merchandise across Europe as well as managing over 230 stores on behalf of artists and bands including AC/DC and Kate Bush. In addition the Company also offers an extensive range of official superheroes and film merchandise.

Commenting on the move Antz White, E-Commerce Director said: “These new premises suit the growing needs of the business. We are looking to expand our overseas and the UK business and next month we will be launching our website ‘LoudClothing.com’ which we believe will drive greater sales for the business.”

Richard Parker, Relationship Director at Barclays in Leicestershire said: “CID is an interesting business with a clear direction for growth. I am pleased to be able to provide working capital funding to support the business to implement its ambitious growth plan.”

The business employs 42 people and has recently taken on its first apprentice. CID hopes to expand its workforce alongside the growth of the business.
