Award winning business moves to new premises

08 January 2018

East Yorkshire business Pure Renewables today announced expansion plans with the purchase of new premises with funding from Barclays.

Established in 2007 by husband and wife entrepreneurs Chris and Janie Whitelock, Pure Renewables is located at the iPark, Innovation Drive, Hull. The business is one of the longest established renewable energy installers in the UK and specialises in renewable energy heating installations for homeowners and businesses across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Cumbria. Products available are ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps, solar PV, solar thermal, space heating and, together with a design service, it enables customers to generate their own energy and reduce their carbon footprint.

Chris Whitelock, Managing Director, Pure Renewables, said: “Purchasing the new premises has been a major step forward in our growth plans and will enable us to increase capacity with more office and workshop space. We can now work more efficiently, delivering more heating systems across the UK. The extra space will also allow us to have a showroom to be able to demonstrate the products to customers. Barclays support has been brilliant – it’s great to have a bank that truly understands your business.”

Pure Renewables now employs ten people locally and is currently on a recruitment drive to expand its team.

Danny Scarr, Barclays Business Relationship Manager put together the funding package for the deal and said: “It’s great to be able to support a local business that is thriving and expanding for the future. Chris and Janie have won many awards for their achievements and the new premises will secure the future of the business. We look forward to seeing the business grow with the new capacity the premises have created.”
