The service enables customers in South Africa to send money – from a branch, online, or using their WAP-enabled mobile phone – to any Western Union distribution agent worldwide.
Absa has been offering the Western Union Money Transfer services in 420 branches since 2008, but has expanded the offering to WAP-enabled mobile phones and internet banking to meet the changing demands of customers.
