The event, organised in London by healthcare business magazine HealthInvestor, promotes excellence and recognises innovation in the healthcare sector.
The accolade was determined by a judging panel which included Bob Ricketts, the UK Department of Health’s Director of System Management and New Enterprise; Nick Bosanquet, Professor of Health Policy at Imperial College London; and Susan Anderson, Director of Public Service and Skills, Confederation of British Industry.

Allied Irish Bank, Aviva, HSBC, Lloyds TSB Commercial Banking, the Royal Bank of Scotland and Santander Corporate Banking were also nominated in the Lender of the Year category.
