Sean Gilchrist, Managing Director of Digital Banking at Barclays UKRB

Customers will be able to use one of 1,000 PINsentry devices sent to Absa branches to logon to Barclays Online Banking securely.

They will also be able to use the Absa branch locator, which can be found on Absa’s internet site, to locate the nearest branch.

Sean Gilchrist, Managing Director of Digital Banking at Barclays UKRB, said: “We want to make sure that the only thing playing on our customers’ minds is the football, and this collaboration with the Digital Banking team and Absa’s Digital team is just one thing we’re doing to make sure football is the only thing they have to worry about.”

In addition, Barclays UKRB customers will not be charged for using Absa cash machines.
