Barclays Corporate’s Financial Institutions team launches the first in its 2011 Global Banking Symposium series.
The events, which take place today at 1 Churchill Place in London and early next month in Frankfurt, Dubai and Singapore, allow existing and prospective clients to network and discuss key issues affecting financial institutions.
Around 100 people are expected to attend each event.
Senior leaders from across Barclays Corporate, Barclays Capital, Absa and Absa Capital have been also invited to participate and share their thoughts and insight on the changing economic environment.
At the London event, Julian Callow, Chief European Economist at Barclays Capital, will provide a report on the regional and global economy.
Giles Herman, Global Head of Financial Institutions Trade Sales at Barclays Corporate, will discuss the latest developments in trade finance.
Other issues to be discussed include the payment environment, liquidity, and developments in European banking.
This is the fourth year Barclays Corporate has hosted the Global Banking Symposium.
