Barclays is to become the first bank in the UK to produce customer statements in full colour.
The new statements will feature a clear and modern layout, enabling customers to find the information they need more easily.
Barclays will also use the new statements to provide customers with messages that are more relevant to their personal finances.
Icons will be used to help customers identify different types of transactions.
The initiative aims to help customers better manage their money.
Emmet Burns, Marketing Director at Barclays UK Retail Banking, said: “This exciting development for our statement channel is a strong example of making the lives of our customers much easier.
“We will be providing them with a statement design that has moved on from being a purely transactional document, to one which not only looks good, but provides our customers with relevant and timely information about their specific banking requirements.”
UK customers with current and savings accounts with Barclays will start receiving the new statements this week.
