Barclays, UNICEF and UK broadcaster Heart radio’s Have a Heart charity are inviting Barclays customers to join a sponsored night walk in London on Wednesday, 21 September.

Online registration for the Take One Small Step Into the Night event opens on Monday, 18 July for Barclays customers, employees and their friends and family.

Funds raised from the walk will go towards transforming the lives of children in the UK and around the world by providing education and improving healthcare.

In 2010, 800 people took part in the walk, following a 10-kilometre route across central London past some of the city's iconic landmarks.

Participants raised more than £60,000, which went towards healthcare and education projects for children in London and Rwanda.

Take One Small Step Into The Night 2011 will start at 19:00 from Potters Fields Park by Tower Bridge. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided along the route.
