Barclays takes part in the SWIFT International Banking Operations Seminar (SIBOS), which starts today in Toronto, Canada.
Participants at the event, organised by the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), will discuss topics such as payments, securities, cash management and trade.
Representatives from Barclays Corporate will attend the event, including John Winter, CEO; Carol Machell, Head of Infrastructure; Tan Kah Chye, Head of Trade and Working Capital; and the Financial Institutions team.
They will be joined by counterparts from Barclays Capital and Absa, as well as representatives from other financial institutions, multinational companies, and hi-tech enterprises.
More than 7,000 people are expected to attend the event.
Barclays Corporate is organising an exhibition at the conference to showcase its products and services.
It will also host activities including a global symposium for clients, where senior business leaders within Barclays will present on key issues affecting the industry today; client briefings on payments and trade finance; as well as various networking events.
More than 250 client meetings with pre-defined agendas will take place to help deliver income for the firm.
