Barclays Take One Small Step into the Night takes place this evening in London.
More than 1,100 Barclays customers, clients and employees have signed up to take part in the sponsored night walk, which is raising funds towards transforming the lives of children in the UK and around the world by providing education and improving healthcare.
The event, organised in partnership with UNICEF and UK broadcaster Heart radio’s Have a Heart charity, starts at 19:00 (UK time) from Potters Fields Park by Tower Bridge.
While online registration is closed, those who are still interested in taking part can sign up at the registration desk located at the start point. The registration desk opens at 18:00.
All participants will receive a t-shirt and enjoy complimentary catering before taking in the sights and sounds of the city by night, passing landmarks such as the Golden Jubilee Bridge and the South Bank.
British singer and songwriter Lemar and Heart radio presenters Nick Snaith and Nicola Bonn will be leading the pre-walk entertainment.
Donations to the cause can be made online at www.justgiving.com/barclaysstep (new window).
Barclays customers, clients and employees can also donate £10 by simply texting STEP4410 to 70070 from their personal mobile phone. The cost of the text is free and 100 per cent of the donation goes directly to UNICEF and Have a Heart.
