Barclays Corporate hosts Britain’s Most Admired Charities Awards to celebrate achievements in the UK’s non-profit sector.
The event takes place today in 1 Churchill Place in London and is organised by Third Sector, a publication which provides coverage on charities and non-governmental organisations.
Up to 150 representatives from different charities are expected to take part in the ceremony, where accolades in the following categories will be presented:
- Most Admired Charity
- Most Innovative Charity
- Most Admired Charity Chief Executive
- Celebrity Charity Champion.
The award winners were first shortlisted by Third Sector, and are chosen via an online poll of the chief executives of the country’s top 500 fundraising charities.
Kevin Wall, Head of Coverage, Barclays Corporate (new window) and David McHattie, Head of Charities, Barclays Corporate, will speak at the event, alongside Nick Hurd, the UK Minister for Civil Society, and Stephen Cook, Editor, Third Sector.
