Barclays has been named Best Bank for Customer Service in Portugal by Multimétrica.
The market research company evaluated banks in the country against a range of criteria, including the appearance of their branches, the professionalism of employees and the overall customer experience.
Barclays was awarded an overall score of 92.94 per cent for customer service, compared to an industry average of 82.44 per cent.
Nine of our branches were ranked the top 20 in the country, with seven scoring 100 per cent.
António Nunes da Silva, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Barclays Portugal, said: “We are very proud to be recognised, again, as the bank with the best customer service in Portugal. Multimétrica also evaluated banks from Spain and Brazil. Against the wider field, Barclays Portugal was ranked second overall for customer service.
Multimétrica’s research, which was published earlier this month, covers to the second half of 2011.
