Barclays has won at the Lipper Fund Awards 2012, one of the most prestigious award events in the fund management industry.
The Wealth and Investment Management division’s GlobalAccess - Global High Yield Bond Fund was recognised for its three-year risk-adjusted performance for the second year in a row, a feat rarely accomplished in the sector.
It outperformed over 120 Bond Global - High Yield funds from industry giants such as PIMCO, Fidelity and Goldman Sachs.
Jaime Arguello, who leads the team responsible for the GlobalAccess range, said: “The win firmly acknowledges our commitment to delivering superior investment returns to our investors over the long-term. It also demonstrates that stand out performance can be achieved through private bank managed funds.
“With our unique approach of blending specialist manager investment styles to create consistent returns, coupled with our in-house expertise, we are confident that we can continue delivering exceptional investment solutions to our clients.”
Oliver Gregson, Head of Sales and Product Development, added: “Considering the extensive field of world class specialist managers in this sector, this award underlines the growing efficacy of our investment approach for private clients.
“Thanks to the strength of our manager selection process we continue to generate award-winning risk-adjusted returns in what may prove to be one of the most important investment sectors of 2012.”
