LifeSkills will support schools to use the available resources to help pupils practise their CV writing skills and interview techniques, as well as identify their core skills and areas of interest.
This week, employees in the UK are encouraged to continue talking to schools and businesses in local communities to let them know how LifeSkills can help.
To help raise awareness of Lifeskills, an advert will be aired on the UK television channel ITV and an article will be featured in The Times. Every evening throughout the week, the LifeSkills adverts will be shown during the first-ever advert breaks in the ITN News at Ten. The adverts feature young people on work experience placements with our corporate clients Pailton Engineering in Coventry and Hyperoptic in London.
To support our aim of helping one million young people into work by 2015, Barclays has already made over 4,000 work experience opportunities available across the business. Schools can find out more and access resources and businesses can learn how offering work experience placements can help them, by visiting.
